On the endpapers, there are seven densely filled pages containing names for remembrance, all handwritten by the Rebbe Menachem Binyamin Ben Zion Halberstam-Rottenberg of Sanz. The margins of the Tehillim contain numerous important handwritten glosses. Inside the Tehillim, kvittlach submitted to the Rebbe are also found.

Rebbi Menachem Binyamin Ben Zion Halberstam Rottenberg (1881–1957), known as the Sanzer Rebbe of New York, was a scion of the illustrious Sanz and Kshanov (Chrzanów) dynasties. He was the grandson of Rebbi Aharon of Biala-Bilitz, Rebbi Yosef Zev of Kshanov, and Rebbi David of Kshanov, who was a son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. His maternal lineage included Rebbi Alter Chaim of Walbrum, and he adopted the Rottenberg surname from this branch.

The Rebbe emigrated to the United States, where he established his court and became a leader in the Chassidic community. He also served as president of the Agudas HaAdmorim (Union of Rebbes).
