The prestigious printing house of the Shapira family of Rebbes, established in Slavuta by the holy Rabbi Moshe Shapira, son of the holy Rebbi Pinchas of Koretz, was considered one of the most distinguished and exalted printing presses. This was due not only to the high quality of its letters, pages, and prints but also because of its sacred and pure owners. The great Chassidic masters were meticulous in using books printed in Slavuta, stating that books from the Slavuta and Zhitomir presses possessed a special holiness. It is even said that the printing tools and letters were immersed in a mikvah before beginning the printing process. It is well known that possessing a book printed in Slavuta or Zhitomir is considered a segulah for protecting the home and bringing success.
