Rabbi Yitzchak Aharon Schwartz was a close disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, visiting him 18 times. He was the shohet of the Yitav Lev and the Atzei Chaim. The holy Rebbi Yoel of Satmar highly praised him, stating that he was the greatest Torah scholar in all of Hungary.

His sons continued the rabbinic and ritual slaughtering tradition, including the great Rabbi Mordechai Schwartz, author of glosses Luta BaSimla on Tevuot Shor, and the great Rabbi Eliezer, rabbi of Sarospatak, known as "Rabbi Leizer Patiker." Rabbi Yitzchak Aharon Schwartz immigrated to the Land of Israel, where he was buried. He published Imrei Bina (Sighet, 1897).
