A handwritten Rosh Hashanah letter, bearing the signatures of both father and son—the holy Rabbi Naftali Zvi Halberstam, Av Beis Din of Glusk and Piekło, and his son, Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Halberstam.

Rabbi Naftali Zvi Halberstam was the son of the holy Rebbi Yosef Ze’ev of Kshanov, who was the son of the holy Rebbi David of Kashanov. He was born around the year 1862.

His son, the holy Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Halberstam, was born around 1880. He was the son-in-law of his great-uncle, Rebbi Moshe Halberstam of Kshanov, who was the son of the holy Rebbi David of Kashanov. After his father’s passing, he succeeded him in leading the community in Sanz-Piekło until his own passing, around 1935.

Their holy handwriting is extremely rare & have never appeared at public auction.

Addressed to his nephew, Rebbe Menachem Binyamin Ben Zion Rotenberg-Halberstam.
