A lengthy essay, entirely handwritten by the esteemed gaon Rabbi Yonasan Steif, Av Beit Din of Budapest. This was written in response to inquiries from the Hungarian authorities, who had posed various questions to the Jewish community seeking clarifications regarding kosher ritual slaughter (shechitah).  Rabbi Jonathan provides detailed answers, citing sources from our tradition for each question, and offers guidance on how to address the authorities.
