A note in the Rebbe’s Holy handwriting: "To return. Many thanks for giving the opportunity to read."

This is how it transpired: The present antique manuscript "The History of the Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, author of the Tanya and Shulchan Aruch" was lent by Rabbi M.K. Shlit”a to the Rebbe.

After a period of time, the Rebbe returned it to him along with this note in his own holy handwriting.

The manuscript was written in 1898 by Shaul Eliyahu Westpahn?. It is possible that the manuscript contains previously unknown details about the history of the Alter Rebbe.

Antique manuscript: Fair Condition, stains, small marginal tears affecting part of text.

12 written sides. 21.7 Cm.

Note in the Rebbe\'s hand is in Good condition. 8.8 X 9.5 Cm.
