Made in the Mid-20th Century this Hanukkah lamp features a gorgeously chased backplate displaying two rampant lions clutching a crowned Decalogue among foliate and C-scroll motifs framed by two columns.
Servant lamp hangs on a twisted and curled branch stemming from the side of the lamp in a square oil container engraved with lined scrolling. Eight oil containers are contained underneath a floral engraved hinged cover with individual wick spouts applied to the inner portion of each container and peek out of the cover.
"These Candles Are Holy" is beautifully engraved in Hebrew at the front wall of the oil wells. The Hanukkah lamp is attached to a rectangular stepped base that is supported by four split ribbon feet.
