Encased Mother-of-pearl on the cover of the silver snuff box is beautifully hand carved portraying the scenic landscape surrounding Kever Rachel. A large tree with overhanging branches and leaves alongside rolling fields and mountains in the background is depicted intricately carved with the structure of the burial place of the matriarch Rachel, standing under the shade of the tree at center. The overall design of the snuff is interestingly formed not as a box or rectangular form commonly made, but rather as a seashell shape.
