This Torah Scroll is written on גוויל (Gevil), a traditional parchment made from the hide of kosher animals, in accordance with halachic requirements. The script seemingly reflects a Sephardic style, suggesting its origin within a Sephardic Jewish community.

The scroll is composed of 32 sheets of Gevil with 55 written rows per each column. It contains sections from the Five Books of the Torah but is incomplete in certain areas. Specifically, it begins with Sefer Bereishit (Genesis) and continues uninterrupted until the middle of Parshat Vayetze. At that point, there is a significant missing portion extending until the middle of Parshat Miketz. From there, the text resumes and continues through to the conclusion of Sefer Devarim (Deuteronomy).

We cannot verify the Kashrut level of this Torah Scroll.

Approx. 70cm Height

Overall Good Condition, stains, some marginal tears and folds, fading to some letters, some worming slightly affecting text, some later scribing, some sheets and stitching loose and detached, incomplete.
