Lovely engraved floral and foliate motifs enhance the beauty of this Russian decanter. A neighborhood with various sized building structures are depicted in three similar cartouches surrounding the vase among the floral patterns. Foliate designs surrounded by quatrefoil shapes grace the neck of the decanter.
Hanging with a chain at the banded center of the neck are three different niello designed reliefs, two of them portraying horses, and the third has foliate designs flanking Russian writing at center.
