A Segulah for Protection: Two Pages of the Holy Autograph of the Wonder-Worker, the Holy Rebbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzymin, —Autograph from His Sefer "Bikurei Aviv."
The holy Rebbi Yaakov Aryeh Guterman of Radzymin (1792–1874), in his youth, became a disciple of the Seer of Lublin, who placed him among his greatest students and testified that he possessed an exceedingly lofty soul. He was also a beloved student of the Maggid of Kozhnitz but was especially attached to the court of Przysucha, where he studied under the "Holy Jew" and Rabbi Bunim of Przysucha. He was considered one of their greatest disciples, alongside his peers: the Seraph of Kotzk, Rebbi Yitzchak of Vorka, and the Chiddushei HaRim. After the passing of Rebbi Yitzchak of Vorka, he was appointed as a Rebbe to thousands of Chassidim and became renowned as a holy man and a miracle worker. Under his leadership, Radzymin became one of the central Chassidic hubs in Poland, with tens of thousands flocking to receive blessings from him and to be delivered from their troubles.
