Overall Good condition, thick quality pages, marginal water stains, first few pages have minor marginal worming, repair to last page,   later red binding.


The author, Rabbi Moshe Almosnino was a prominent 16th Century, Salonika scholar. A scion of distinguished Aragon family, Rabbi Moshe was born in Salonika. He studied Torah in Rabbi Yosef Taitachek’s Yeshiva. An accomplished scholar, Rabbi Moshe was also well versed in Science, Philosophy, Medicine, Spanish Literature and a number of languages.


Politically astute, Rabbi Moshe led a delegation on behalf of Salonika Jewry to Constantinople to champion the rights of Jews. Rabbi Moshe authored many works, much of which he wrote in Ladino. Rabbi Moshe stood at the helm of two Salonika communities.
