Seder HaDorot, an original composition that, as its name implies, chronicles the timeline of world events and the lives of figures from the Creation until the author’s generation. It includes the history of the Tannaim and Amoraim, names of books and their authors. By the great Rabbi Yechiel Heilprin, Av Beit Din of Minsk zt"l.

 Some of it is arranged alphabetically. Includes numerous approbations from the rabbis and sages of Ashkenaz, Poland, and Lithuania, testifying to their great affection for the author and his work.

An important and genius work!

This sefer is very significant and among the first of its kind. From the moment it was published, it was warmly received by all Jewish communities and their rabbis, and it is still considered a major authority in Jewish history. The Jewish world was surprised by its success and the well-organized manner in which it was compiled. Composing such a work required great genius. The many approbations are a testament to this phenomenon.

A very rare edition! It has never appeared at auction. With approbations from the Noda B’Yehuda, the Sha’agat Aryeh, and the Korban Netanel.

 The main text was printed without division into chapters and without punctuation, with the translation surrounding it in Tzur script. At the beginning of the sefer are two introductions from the translator, one in Yiddish and the other in Hebrew.
