Rabbi Moshe Natan Neta Lemberger, Av Beit Din of Makova, was a disciple of the renowned Rabbi Shimon Greenfeld, Av Beit Din of Semihaly, known for his responsa Maharashag. He married the granddaughter of Rabbi Moshe Farhand, Av Beit Din of Makova. After his marriage, he began teaching in his grandfather’s yeshiva, and in 1936, he assumed the role of dayan for the community. Rabbi Moshe Natan Neta endured the hardships of the Holocaust in the Szeged ghetto and in the Bergen-Belsen and Theresienstadt concentration camps.
After the Holocaust, in 1952, he immigrated to Israel and established a Beit Midrash in Kiryat Ata. Rabbi Moshe Natan Neta was renowned for his vast knowledge of all areas of Torah and for his notable piety and humility. He passed away in 1983.
