Rabbi [Moses] Gershon Lasch (Hebrew: גרשון לש; 1803 – March 3, 1883) was a German educator and author. In 1823, he was appointed as an instructor at the Jewish school in Halberstadt, Prussia, where he later advanced to the position of professor.
Rabbi Lasch was one of the principal teachers of Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer in the Halberstadt community. On the 26th of Tishrei 1837, when Rabbi Hildesheimer left to study at the yeshiva of his esteemed teacher, Rabbi Yaakov Ettlinger in Altona, Rabbi Lash wrote a recommendation letter for him. In this letter, he noted that Rabbi Hildesheimer excelled in Jewish studies, the Hebrew language, Torah, and Nevi’im, particularly in Talmud. He praised his diligence in study and exemplary character, which brought great joy to his parents. Rabbi Lash blessed him, asking that God protect him from all harm as he left his hometown and that he realize the hopes that his mother and all the close friends of his distinguished family placed in him.
