The holy Rebbi Nachum Dovber Friedman of Sadigura (known as "Nachum Ber’nyu"), [1844-1883], was the son of the holy Rebbi Shalom Yosef of Ruzhin and the son-in-law of the holy Rebbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura. He was a remarkable Torah scholar and a devout Chassid who spent his life at the court of his father-in-law in Sadigura. His vast library contained rare and precious manuscripts and was one of the most important and well-known collections of its time. The gaon Rabbi Yehuda of Sadigura, author of "Yad Yehuda, " writes in the introduction to his sefer: "When I arrived in the city of Sadigura, I found in the house of my relative, the righteous holy one, a collection of precious seforim from ancient authors, the likes of which are unparalleled in rarity and splendor." Rebbi Nachum Dovber used to categorize and sign his seforim with three main inscriptions: "Minchat Shai", "Yerushat Avot" , and "Kinyan Kaspi".
The author, the divine kabbalist, the holy Rebbi Moshe Shoham, Av Beit Din of Dolina (passed away in 1820), was one of the younger disciples of the holy Baal Shem Tov, and he references the Baal Shem Tov’s teachings in his sefer. In 1786, he was appointed as the Av Beit Din of Dolina, through the intervention of the holy Rebbi Elimelech of Lizhensk. The Ohev Yisrael from Apta wrote about him in his endorsement for Sefer Divrei Moshe: "I know this man Moshe, great in both revealed and hidden Torah, and he never left the tent of Torah." The Divrei Chaim from Sanz wrote about him: "He is a fearsome man of God." In addition to this sefer, he authored Saraf Pri Etz Chaim (Chernivtsi, 1866) and Divrei Moshe, a collection of Chassidic teachings on the Torah portions (Mezhybizh, 1818).
