Arizal Siddur Kol Yaakov, Part I –weekday prayers, and Part II – prayers for Shabbat and festivals, with homilies and the kavanot of the Arizal, by the kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Koppel Lifshitz of Mezeritch.

First edition. Slavita: R. Dov Ber Segal and R. Dov Ber son of R. Pesach, 1804.

The Kol Yaakov siddur with commentaries, kavanot, laws and customs based on kabbalah, was particularly cherished by foremost Chassidic leaders. Many of them prayed regularly from this siddur, retaining it continually on their table.

Among the Admo"rim known to have been particular to pray from Siddur Rebbi Koppel were: The maggid of Kozhnitz, the maggid of Chernobyl, the ‘Arvei Nachal’,   Rebbi Avraham of Chechnov and many more. It is also known that Rebbi Yisrael of Ruzhin related about himself: "When I was 14 years old, I said to my brother, Rebbi Avrahamenyu of Probishta, ‘Let’s learn the sacred wisdom’ and Siddur Rebbi Koppel was lying on the desk – he would take this siddur and study it with me." The maggid of Kozhnitz also wrote a lot of glosses on the sheets of his Siddur Rebbi Koppel and these were later printed in his sefer Rimzei Yisrael.

Includes a Pesach Haggada, the order and intentions of shofar and intentions of Sefiras Haomer.

Rabbi Asher Tzvi of Ostra, author of Ma’ayan Chachma writes in his endorsement, "I heard that this siddur was seen by the holy giant eagle, the Baal Shem Tov and it was pleasing to his eyes…"

His greatest disciples affirmed that the holy Baal Shem Tov endorsed this siddur ‘with both hands’ and that upon seeing the manuscripts he hugged and kissed them.

Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Barditchev attested in his endorsement to Rabbi Yaakov Kapil’s sefer, Shaarei Gan Eden, "that he was a trustworthy Kabbalist and all of his words were said with Divine spirit."

Rabbi Yaakov Koppel’s works are adapted and edited compilations of the writings of the Remak, Rabbi Chaim Vital and Rabbi Yisrael Sarug, with the addition of his own novellae.
