On the title page and the flyleaf are the signatures and stamps of the holy Rabbi Yechiel Nathan Halberstam of Dukla, Old Sanz and Bardejov.

The Holy Rabbi Yechiel Nathan Halberstam of Bardejov, was born in 1865 to his father, the Holy Rebbi Moshe, son of the Holy Rebbi Baruch of Gorlice, son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, and grandson of the Yitav Lev of Sighet. He married the daughter of his cousin, Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Halberstam of Dukla, son of Rebbi David of Kashanov. In 1885, he was appointed Rabbi of Old Sanz, and after his father’s passing, he moved to Bardejov to assume his role. He was renowned as a holy man and an exceptional scholar, with remarkable discernment in distributing charity following the ways of his saintly forebears. Many of the followers of Gorlice, especially those in the various regions of Hungary, accepted his authority.

He passed away in 1933. His descendants include notable Rebbes and prominent rabbis.

Signatures of his son, Rabbi Moshe Aharon Halberstam of Stropkov, son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel Halberstam of Stropkov, grandson of the Shinov Rebbe, author of Divrei Menachem. He lived close to his illustrious father-in-law and served as a rabbi and spiritual guide for the devout community in Stropkov. He was tragically killed during the Hy”d.
