After his father’s passing, in 1843, was appointed Admor. For thirty years he lead of thousands of Chassidim. Some of his Divrei Torah were published in his Sefer Toldos Adam. His successor was his Son-In-Law the Holy Divrei Binah of Biala.
Stamps on the tile page of his son-in-law, Rebbi Yitzchak Yaakov Rabinowitz (1847-1905), the first Rebbe of Biala and one of the great Rebbes of Poland. He was the son of Rebbi Natan David of Shidlovtza and the grandson of the “Holy Jew” Rebbi Yitzchak Yaakov of Peshischa. Even as a child, his exceptional talents and lofty soul were evident [his father testified that he had experienced a revelation of Elijah as a child, and before his bar mitzvah, Rebbi Yechezkel of Kuzmir referred to him as "Rebbe, " and Rebbi Elazar of Dzikov gave him a note to read. When he visited the Divrei Chaim of Sanz with his father, the Rebbe stood in his honor and treated him with respect].
In 1873, he assumed his place in leadership, following his father-in-law, Rebbi Yehoshua of Ostrova-Luntshe, who had thousands of followers. At the instruction of Rebbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzymin, he took on the responsibility of leadership, and many flocked to his holy court, which later moved to Biala.
He was respected and revered by the great Chassidic leaders of Poland. Rebbi Yechiel Meir of Gustynin said about him, "I did not believe that after the Rebbe of Kotzk, there would be a person with such a mind." The Rebbi of Gustynin even made it a custom to send him a letter every Erev Rosh Hashanah, asking him to remember him in his “pure prayers” as the holy days approached. Rebbi Chaim Yisrael of Pilov referred to him as “a sage, greater than a prophet.” Rebbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzymin, one of the elder Rebbes of his time, once honored him by asking him to say a “Torah” at his table. Though still young, Rebbi Yitzchak Yaakov had no choice and gave a discourse. When he finished, Rebbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzymin responded, "Truth! Truth! Truth!". He passed away during the evening prayer, as his soul departed in purity upon reaching the words, “And they shall all accept the yoke of Your kingdom, ” in the Aleinu prayer.
At the time of his passing, his Chassidus numbered about five thousand families. He was renowned for his immense love for every Jew. He passed away on the 23rd of Adar II, 1905, and was buried next to his father-in-law in the Jewish cemetery in Warsaw. His books include Divrei Binah on the Torah and festivals and Yeshrei Lev on Shabbat topics.
All of his sons became renowned Rebbes in Poland, each leading large communities. They included Rebbi Natan David of Partzov, Rebbi Meir Shlomo Yehuda of Miedzyrzec, and Rebbi Yerachmiel Tzvi of Shedlitz, the father of the Chelkas Yehoshua of Biala.
