The Chassid Gaon Rabbi David Hacohen Zeltzer (1842-1908) the grandson of the holy Gaon Rabbi David Deutsch Av Beit Din of Ir Chadash, author of Ohel David. Studied at the yeshivas of Rabbi Zekil Polack, Rabbi Shimon Friedman and the famed Gaon Rabbi Menachem Ash. Served as Dayan in Munkatch and headed the yeshiva there. Was famed for his sermons, some of which were printed by his son in the Sefer Divrei David on the Torah. The Admor, author of the Darkei Tshuvah wrote of him in his approbation of the Divrei David "I since I have known him as most knowledgeable in Niglleh and Nistar, Torah and Chassidut … loves his fellow men and beings them closer to the Torah …"
Overall Good condition, some marginal water stains, later binding partially detached.
