The author Rabbi Aharon Berachya of Modena one ofthe greatest Kabbalists and Poskim of Italy. A disicple of Rabbi Menachem Azarya of Fano and corresponded with Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh of Modena (author of the Piyyut יום זה יהי משקל כל חטאי which is said on Yom Kippur Katan) and Rabbi Yisroel Saruk of the disciples of the Ari. Rabbi Aharon Berachya received his Semichas Hora\'ah by Rabbi Yom Tov Tzahalon author of the Maharit Shut. Authored several other Seforim.
