This is the first of Rabbi Wolf Heidenheim (of Rodelheim fame) works to be published.

The Mekubal, Shadar and researcher Rabbi Yehosef Schwartz was born in Germany in 1805, moved to Jerusalem in 1833, died in 1865. He is known for his book Tvu’at Ha’aretz about halachic and historic matters pertaining to the Land of Israel.
