This is one the earliest Passover Hagaddas printed in America. Between the 1830s and 1880s, a growing number of merchant-class German Jews arrived in New York seeking their fortune, hence this Haggadah was printed with a German translation.


Provenance: Kestenbaum Auction 35, November 21st 2006, Lot 121 (Estimated at $1000-$1500).

Signature in pencil: Shalom son of Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi Koplowitz.


Overall good condition, some stains, text block detached from binding, original binding, rubbed out edges and spine , spine slightly damaged.
