Rabbi Yosef ben Rabbi Chaim Taub – Tzaddik and Gaon, Dayan, Parnas and leader in Frankfurt am Main. The son-in-law of Rabbi Baruch Hacohen of Metz. Passed away in 1695.

He is mentioned in Shu”t Nishal David by the Gaon Rabbi David Oppenheim. He gave an approbation on the Sefer Mareh Yechezkel Katan (Prague 1695) together with the Gaon the Pnei Yehoshua who was then the Rabbi of Frankfurt. In 1672 he arraigned a Get together with the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Shmuel Koidanover, Author of Tiferet Shmuel who served as the Rabbi of Frankfurt.

Overall in Good-Fair condition, title page professionally repaired affecting text, paper strengthening to corners of first few pages, tear with missing text to page 24, stains, original vellum binding.
