Beautifully engraved into the front of the amulet are two rampant lions flanking and holding  a crowned letter ‘Hey’ standing over a foliate design. This particular motif is displayed on kiddush cups of that period and region.

Featured on reverse is a prayer which blesses a child to grow up in the ways of Torah, good deeds, marriage and old age. This prayer is very unique in the fact that it mentions that the child should live to 100 years, dissimilar from the customary practice of blessing people to live till 120 years of age. Engraved prayer in surrounded with laurel leaves tied of with a ribbon at bottom.

An attached loop at top allows this amulet to be accessorized with a chain to be worn around ones neck.
