Rabbi Yosef Hochgelernter (1700-1767) was known as a prodigy and was therefore titled "Rabbi Yosef Charif" (The Sharp Rabbi Yosef). It is told that Rabbi Yosef was blessed by the Ba’al Shem Tov, after having no children, and due to his blsessing had many. His disciples included Rabbi Menachem Mendl of Kock and Rabbi Shlomo Kluger.

Overall in Good-Very Good condition, marginal tape repairs to first & last page, wear to corners of first few pages, tiny marginal hole to last 4 pages, later binding.
