The Gaon Rabbi Elkana Zoberman (1903-1959, Encyclopedia LeChachmei Galicia, II, pp. 974-975). A student of Rabbi Meir Arik, who gave him his ordination as posek. Rabbi of Jordanów (Galicia) from 1929. A leading Bobov Chassid. In 1940, he was deported to Siberia, and after his release in 1941 served as posek for refugees in a town near Tashkent. He was rabbi in Wałbrzych from 1946, dealing extensively with the release of agunot. In 1948, he moved to the United States, where he served as rabbi & led the Chassidic community of Brownsville. He became a leading posek and ordained many American rabbis. Member of the Beit Din for agunot of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis, alongside Rabbi Moshe Feinstein.

The Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Bunin (1872-1982), rabbi in Rivne (Równe) and Novoukrainka, and afterwards was a rabbi in Brooklyn New York; one of the most important rabbis in the USA and one of the leaders of Agudat HaRabanim; author of the Seforim Divrei Yitzchak and Hegyonot Yitzchak.
