3. Nice letter by the famous Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Roth Rabbi of Chorostków. 1924. Addressed to Rabbi Shmuel Greenberg Menahel of the Beth Hamedrash Lerabbanim in Berlin.


Rabbi Meshulam Roth was a noted Chasidic Posek, and son-in-law of Rabbi Pinchos Menachem Mendel Rubin (1870-1941) the Admor of Seret.


4. Letter of recommendation by the  Gaon Rabbi Shlomo David Kahana Av Beit Din of Warsaw. 1925.

The noted Gaon Rabbi Shlomo David Kahana [1869-1953], Av Beit Din of Warsaw and the Ashkenazi rabbi of the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem until its fall in 1948. He studied Torah in the Volozhin yeshiva from Rabbi Chaim HaLevi Soloveitchik and the Netziv, as well in the Kollel Prushim in Kovno, and was ordained to the rabbinate by Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor. Known primarily for his work in enabling the agunos of the First and Second World Wars to remarry, which earned him the title "Father of Agunos". As soon as the Second World War broke out he began preparations to release agunot from the warzone. He drew up a document freeing an agunah which could be used in most cases and began to collect testimonies and permit agunos to remarry relying on the ‘treirubi’ rule. He attested that he released 3000 agunos during the Second World War relying on this rule, and the husband did not return in any of the cases.


5. Letter by Rabbi Yisrael Binyamin Feivelson – Rabbi of Shokian.

The Ga’on Rabbi Yisrael Binyamin Bendet Feivelson (1865-1937), student of Yeshivot Kelm and Volozhin, among prominent rabbis of Lithuania. In 1898 Av Beit Din in Basiglio and from 1924 Av Beit Din in Shokian. Authored many books in Halacha and Aggada [see attached material].
