An interesting sefer of responses to halachic questions that arose before the Holocaust. The rabbanim who responded were killed not long after composing these responses.

Printing began before the Holocaust and was interrupted. During the war, some of the manuscripts prepared for print were lost and after the war, the printing was completed under the current name.

The topics discussed include electricity and phones on Shabbos, Shabbos timers, aviation over a cemetery, shaving in the army, holding shares in companies that are not Shabbos observant or that own chametz on Pesach, and the like.

In addition, there are also war-related questions, such as possessing an ID that associates you to a Christian sect in order to save yourself, what to do with money that had been set aside for Eretz Yisrael and could not be sent due to the war, clearing the bones of dead bodies, and more.

On the last pages there is a long chilling list of more than 300 Hungarian rabbis that were killed in the Holocaust Hy”d.

[4]. 104,[4] Pages. 28.7 Cm.
