The Gaon Rabbi Hertz (Hirsch) Traub (1791-1849), rabbi of Mannheim for many years. He was the son of R. Meir of Mannheim. One of the foremost rabbis of Germany, his name appears in several responsa books from the Torah scholars of his generation.
