Snuff Box is decorated with an engraving of the scenery from the burial site of Migdal David in the Old city of Jerusalem. The words Migdal David are engraved on the top of the box and is able to be opened and closed by a clasp on front.
With attestation letter by his disciple. A picture of this snuff box appears in the Sefer Mamar Mordechai about the life of Rabbi Sharabi.
Rabbi Mordechai Sharabi (1908, Shara’b As Salam, Yemen – 1984, Jerusalem) was a rabbi and the founder and rosh yeshiva of Yeshivat Nahar Shalom, a yeshiva for the study of the Kabbalah of Shalom Sharabi, in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Mahane Yehuda. A world-renowned kabbalist, he was accepted by the kabbalists of his time, and had the admiration of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
