Glasgow, 1933.
Rabbi Hillel writes that he has been within the borders of Great Britain for about three weeks and has already visited Liverpool, Belfast and Dublin for the benefit of Yeshivas Radin. He is now in Glasgow and hopes to be in Manchester next week.
He asks for his help in finding a place to stay – but only paid accommodation.
"By the way, I can give you regards from his excellent and exalted son who is currently studying at the Mir Yeshiva….while he was in Radin with us to visit my father-in-law Rabbi Yisroel Meir Shlit”a on the days of the Sukkot holiday of 1931 he ate on my table for the duration of his stay in Radin ."
At the bottom he adds ”I have been sent regards to relay to you from the Gaon Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman who visited us before his trip”.
The Gaon Rabbi Hillel Ginsburg: the son-in-law of the second wife of the Chofetz Chaim from her first marriage, was a close aide to the Chafetz Chaim and one of the principals of the yeshiva in Radin. He took upon himself the matter of distributing the books of the Mishnah Berurah, Chafetz Chaim and his other Seforim.
In 1940 when the Radin Yeshiva fled to Vilna, Rabbi Hillel stayed with the younger boys in Radin where he was killed Hy”d.
