A single leaf written on both sides handwritten by the famed Gaon Rabbi David Oppenheim Av Beis Din of Nikolsburg and Prague and the Chief Rabbi of Moravia.
The pages are part of his work Ir David, which was not published like most of his Torah innovations and writings. The work is written in the format of verses (Batim). This leaf contains his Torah innovations on tractate Yuma.
Leaf written on both sides and the verses are titled: Beit Shmama, Beit Bamot, Beit Sheini and Beit Seter.
Rabbi David Oppenheim [1664-1736] one of the greatest Geonim of Ashkenaz. Was born in Worms. When he was 20, received his Hora’ah Semicha and when he was 25 was appointed the Rav of Nikolsburg. After twenty years there, he became the Rav of Prague. Leading rabbis asked for his approbation for their Seforim, and he willingly obliged. Authored approx. twenty works on Halacha and Aggadah including Shut Nishal David; however, most of the works were never printed.
