Polish Challah cover is beautifully embroidered with flower designs and and a bird pictured in center.
The families names are also embroidered in to the cloth "Spiel-Fogel". Beneath the center picture there is the name of "Perel" the women it belonged to as well as the year it was made "5618" (1858).
2. German Challah cover is made of spectacular quality, designed with grapevine and wheat stalk gold threaded embroidery. A pitcher of wine is overflowing at the bottom center.
In Hebrew the words "Bircat Hashem Hee Ta'ashir" the verse from Scriptures which is a Segula for wealth and prosperity.
Condition: in overall great condition, a bit of threading at the edges and a few of the embroidered letters are faded.
