Monumental copper chased design of a hand engulfing a flame atop a book embellished with the words "Mesorath Avot" from the American Endowment School. Design of a school building chased into the back of the standing copper large medal. Written in Hungarian are the words "ALAPI`TVA`NYIISKOLA" meaning ‘Foundation School’ in front. In the back lower part underneath the school building design is the words "1990 AZ ISKOLA`E`RT" meaning ‘For the School’.
Surrounding the copper medallion are beautiful hand-chased flower and plantation designs soldered to a large silver ring topped with an ornate crown. It rests on a thick silver, ribbed plaque which stands on four cartouche style chased legs.
The plaque has the following engraved dedication:
"The 1993 Builders Award Presented With Esteem to
‘Mr. Louis Gottlieb’
For Helping Develop Monumental Institutions"
The other side has a further engraved dedication:
"December 2, 1993~ ~New York Hilton
By Endowment for Democracy~~~ In Eastern Europe
Albert Reichman- Chairman David Moskovits- President"
