Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky [1913-1979]. As a young man, he studied at the "Sha’ar HaTorah" yeshiva in Grodno with Rabbi Shimon Shakop, at the Mir Yeshiva in Poland, and at the Lomza Yeshiva in Petah Tikva. For years, he learned once a week with Rabbi Yitzchak Ze’ev Soloveitchik, who influenced his way of learning. With the establishment of the Ponivez Yeshiva by Rabbi Yosef Shlomo Kahneman, In the year 1944, Rabbi Shlomo Kahneman called on Rabbi Rosovsky to headed the yeshiva, until his death. After his passing, his writings were published in the books of "Shiurey Rabbi Shmuel" and "Zichron Samuel".
