Ownership inscription & stamps of the Admor Rebbi Ya’akov Yisrael Rabinowitz (1880-1942) was the eldest son of Rebbi Pinchas of Kantikozva, son of Rebbi Gedaliah of Linitz. Following the riots in Russia in the cities of Kherson and Odessa where he served as Admor, he immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1924 and settled in Tel Aviv and opened the first Hasidic shtibl in Tel Aviv on Yehuda Halevi Street. He became the first Rebbe to settle in Tel Aviv The Rebbe of Charson until his death in 1942.
He wrote the Sefer She’erit Ya’akov on the Torah, which was published after his death in a very limited format due to the great cost that was in those days, and it is known that he left many other writings.
