A gorgeous set in its original binding, with gilt decoration.
Antique ownership of the rich woman Feyge, wife of R. Abraham Befr…
Aside from the original bindings, this Amsterdam edition is indeed a beautiful set as it is printed on thick, high quality white paper, and the type is in a clear, impressive font. In comparison with other Machzorim printed during the era, this Machzor is unparalleled in its quality and beauty, which can be appreciated till today. Likewise, all prayers and supplications are printed in their entirety and in their correct place, another uncommon phenomenon for Machzorim from this period.
This set was originally issued in 9 parts. Present in this lot are 8 volumes out of 9. Lacking the part for Shavout.
Overall Very Good condition, thick good quality while paper, few stains, original bindings a bit rubbed. 18 Cm.
