The author was a professor of the Hebrew Language. The dictionary was printed from right to left. It starts with leaves with punctuated Hebrew print that feature many hundreds of roots and words discussed within the book.

Very fine condition, few pages slightly trimmed on the text of the heading.

Foxing, else very good. In contemporary vellum, missing clasp closures that were originally present. Two volumes bound as one. This is the first edition of a Hebrew-Latin Bible, published between 1610 and 1613, by the Plantin House at Leiden. Text is based on Montanus’ Polyglot Bible of the 1570′, published by Plantin at Antwerp. 583, 528 pages.

Half leather with 5 raised bands, gilt decoration and red title label with gilt title. Red edges. Title page printed in red, woodcut printer’s device.
