The Holy Rebbi Shalom Moskowitz (1878-1958), son of Rebbi Mordechai Yosef Moshe of Sulitza – Shotz and son-in-law of his uncle Rebbi Meir Moskowitz of Shotz. Renowned at a young age for his Torah scholarship and received semicha from the Maharsham of Brzezany. Appointed Rabbi of Shotz in 1903 and remained there till 1919. Among his pupils during this period was the famous Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapira. He later moved to Tarnow (Galicia), Cologne (Germany) and in 1927 settled in London. The Shotzer Rebbe was famous for his Torah scholarship, his asceticism and his hospitality.

Author of Daas Shalom, Or Haganuz and other works
