Shut Noda BiYehuda, Mahadura Kama, part 1, by the great Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Segal Landau, Av Beit Din of Prague, known as the Noda BiYehuda.
First Edition, Prague, 1776.
Top of title page with antique ownership inscription ‘‘This Noda BiYehuda remained from the estate? of the late Tzaddik Moreinu Tzvi Hirsch Mendel”
The combination of names Tzvi Hirsch Mendel is quite uncommon, especially as he is referred to as a Tzaddik!
The Holy Rebbe Tzvi Hirsch Mendel Auerbach was born to the Holy Rebbe Mesulam Zusha of Anipoli (Hannopil) in 1750. Son-in-law of Rebbe Moshe of Iwieniec, and of the Holy Rebbe Dov Ber of Ulanów a grandson of the Besh”t.
In his youth he lived in Brody where he studied with the Holy Rebbe Yechiel Michel of Zlotshow, from there he went to Przeworsk to study with the Holy Rebbe Moshe Sofer. Later he returned to Anipoli & served as Rosh Beth Din.
After his father passed away in 1800 he was crowned Rebbe in his place. Later he moved to Dunaivtsi (Dinovitz) where he passed away in 1814.
His son was the Holy Rebbe Yechiel Michel Auerbach Admur of Dinovitz , and then Kurima. Of whom many families hail.
Nothing else of this Holy Tzaddik is believed to exist.
