by Rabbi Yitzchak Hezekiah ben Shmuel Lampronti

A masterful composition of the encyclopedia "Pachad Yitzchak", which includeds, in alphabetical order, explanations of concepts and terms in the Talmudic , Midrashic and Rabbinic literature of his time. The rich encyclopedia includes in addition to definitions also short biographies, "Seder Dorot" ( genealogy ), legends, proverbs and bibliographic lists. In this work, he concentrated a great deal of material on questions and answers and rulings of many of the rabbis of his time, material that had hitherto been found only in manuscripts.

The first volume of the encyclopedia (letters A-B) was printed by him in the year 1750 in Venice. In the year 1753, the second volume (letters C-D) was printed. The other parts up to the letter M was printed after his death by his son Solomon, first in Venice and then in Livorno. The rest of the manuscript was printed in the 19th century.
