With the Rebbe’s signature & stamp. Jerusalem 1972. the original envelope is stuck to the revers of the letter & accompanied by a return envelope intended to send donations.
Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Tolna (1906-1999) was the son of Rabbi Dovid Twersky of Tolna, of the Chernobyl dynasty. In the 1920s, he followed his father to the United States. He served as Admor in Montreal after his marriage.
During the Holocaust, he was very active in the rescue of European Jews. After the War, he immigrated to Israel and established his beit midrash in the Bayit Vegan neighborhood of Jerusalem.
