Hagaon Rabbi Avraham Ulman was born in Ansbach in 1791 to his father the holy Gaon Rabbi Shalom Ulman-Charif Rabbi in Ansbach & Lakenbach.

One of the great Hungarian Rabbis in the generation of the Chasam Sofer who writes about him ” i know that this great man that his teachings are holy”

He served as a Rosh Yeshiva in Topoltchan & afterwards filled his fathers place in Lakenbach.

He is mentioned in many Seforim by the great sages of his generation.

He passed away in 1849 & the Gaon the Csav Sofer eulogized him ”He Avraham was a Tzadik throughout until the end, i knew him well & he was my confident. A Tzadik the son of a Tzadik, he was famous for his Torah greatness & was a Charif.
