As Mrs. Chana Gourary tells the amazing story in the accompanying letter. This is no doubt the clock that sat on the Rebbe Rashabs desk in the town of Lubavitch and later in Rostov. Rebbetzen Sterna Sarah gifted it to her eldest Granddaughter shortly after Rebbe Rashab passed away. It arrived in the United States before Purim 1942 with the rest of the housewares and household items, that Rebbetzen Nechama Dinah had packed up at the beginning of World War II.
