This grouping of household goods is a "time-capsule" of the Jewish experience in America during 1930's through the 1950's. The three containers in the center are of the earliest era, and detail their contents in English on one side, and Yiddish on the other side. Another example of the round scouring powder container by the Rokeach company was on display in an 1991 exhibition in the Jewish museum of New York. It can be seen in the accompanying exhibit publication "Getting Comfortable in New York: The American-Jewish Home, 1880 – 1950".
