These sterling silver boxes are used to cover tefillin. While the tops are marked for either hand and head respectively, the sides are acid-etched in designs of pomegranate plants and grape clusters on vines, two symbolic foods of the Land of Israel. Hand engraved "Bezalel Jerusalem" on the very bottom. Circa 1920’s, made in Jerusalem.
