A early American Judaica document concerning a court case with the plaintiffs being Naphtali Judah who was a trustee of Congregation Shearith Israel, the oldest synagogue in the city & Eleazer Lazarus who was the son of Samuel Lazarus. He was a city assessor in New York City for many years. He edited the Hebrew text of the first Hebrew prayer book published in North America. On November 1, 1809, he was married to Zipporah Hart.
