This Torah ark curtain features Hebrew letters that are in the distinct style of Synagogue textiles from Bohemia.

The Hebrew dedication itself is made of spun metallic thread, expertly sewn on rich brown velvet. A large "Crown of Torah" is in extremely high relief at the top, with the words "Holy to G-d" flanking it. Underneath this is a lengthy dedication stating "This is donated from Aron, son of Yakov and his wife Kyla, daughter Sender-Segal 1839".

Similar examples are pictured in the landmark book "The Precious Legacy: Judaic Treasures from the Czechoslovak State Collections".
