Sefer Ha’Ma’alot Li’Shlomo, "And it is Shem HaGedolim, second edition" – a compilation of the names of many Rabbis and books, most of which were printed after the death of the Chida and are not mentioned in his important book "Shem HaGedolim". The Sefer is divided into two sections – the section of Rabbis and the section of books, modelled after the Chida’s Shem Hagedolim.

Rabbi Shlomo Chazan (died in 1856), the Chief Rabbi of Alexandria from the year 1831. A tremendous genius, known for his tremendous fluency in the Talmud and the Poskim, taught many students, his leadership had a great influence on the Jews of Egypt.
